The Truth about High Profile Events
I’m sure any wedding planner you talk to could sit and go on for hours about how much they love weddings, after all, that’s why they are in the business right? Wedding planning isn’t one of those jobs that you just pick up to pay the bills. Each and every individual who chose to become a planner is doing exactly what they have always wanted to do.
So what makes me any different? Well, for starters, how about instead of making my job about the wedding itself, how about I start with the most important aspect of the wedding: you. As the couple, you are the entire reason this wedding is happening. The little jokes, the shared memories, the secret smiles; those reasons define the two of you and the two of you, your chemistry should be the focus of your wedding.
I can tell you from personal experience. At the end of the day it isn’t about the extravagant purchases (although I will admit they are A-MAZING), and it isn’t about how good the movie was, or that your waitress seemed to forget about you. It’s about that one single moment when he looked at you with that goofy smile on his face, with just a slight bit of foam still on his beard, and said “Hey, I love you.” That’s the part that gets remembered. It’s not that the rest doesn’t matter, because, when you worked ten hours and that waitress gets the order wrong of course you’re pissed. But chances are, five years down the road, you’ll still be thinking of that smile and how it made you laugh.
So why should a wedding be any different? That’s my philosophy, my mantra, when I started this company. I’ve seen weddings that cost tens of thousands, I’ve seen weddings that cost two thousand and everything in between. I’ve seen beautiful, grand, Phantom-of-the-Opera-show-stopping numbers in terms of venues. On the other hand, I’ve seen a quiet, postcard farm with a gentle autumn breeze leaves and if I stopped to listen for just a moment, all I could hear were leaves rustling. On both ends of the spectrum, the weddings that were most memorable were those that focused on the couple, not on the in-laws, not on the guests, on the couple.
Will some couples want the big-show stopper? You bet and I am totally on board with that, but when you get down to it, and people are being honest, show-stoppers are few and far between. Every couple wants everything to be perfect on their big day, and it’s my job to make sure that it goes smoothly. Let me worry about the logistics and then lets put a personal spin on your wedding. Let’s find a unique venue, it’s literally my favorite thing to do. I travel around Wisconsin visiting supper clubs, lighthouses, barns, bed and breakfasts. You name it. If you’re looking for a venue that’s truly going to be unique, maybe someone has never held a wedding before or if you’re the type of couple that wants a venue and ceremony to say “ this is so us”, then High Profile Events is exactly what you have been looking for.
